Burton Joyce Primary School is a happy, high-achieving school in a village near Nottingham. Our success comes from strong teamwork – with children, parents, staff, and governors all working together to create a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

The ethos of the school is one of high standards and achievement, of co-operation and support for everyone in our school community, respect and an awareness of others and their needs. There are many opportunities for children to develop their skills whatever their level of ability in an equal opportunities environment. We aim to provide a wide range of learning experiences where children will gain a positive self-image to help them on their path as happy and successful lifelong learners.

We are a part of the Equals Trust for pupils aged 5 – 11. In 2015 we formed The Acorn Federation with Cropwell Bishop Primary School, which has already established successful learning outcomes for pupils and teachers. If you and your child are joining our school community for the first time we look forward to a positive and successful partnership.
